* Those persons for which one of the following two definitions below are applicable.
- IOF/ESCEO Member - A member of either the IOF or ESCEO Board, or IOF Committee of Scientific Advisors (CSA), or the IOF representative in the Committee of Corporate Advisors (CCA) or a member of one of IOF national or patient societies (CNS) - (for a complete and current list, please visit our website at http://www.iofbonehealth.org/about-iof/member-societies)
- IOF Congress Member - you have the new opportunity to choose to become a Congress Member of IOF. This new membership is free for 1 year and will entitle you to register at the Member Registration Fee.

** A certification and signature from either a mentor/supervisor verifying training/degree status or from an employer verifying paramedical/non-doctoral status must be included when registering.

All registration fees include French Value Added Tax (VAT) for all categories

Special Discounts

20 free registrations for every member society of the IOF Committee of National Societies (CNS). The IOF representative of each CNS member society will receive specific instructions. BJC leaves it to each society's discretion as to how to allocate the free registrations.

Free registration to Scientists who had a presentation selected during the ASBMR'11 Congress and who were invited to submit their presentation to IOF-ECCEO12. Specific instructions were sent to those nominees.

Group registrations

For information about group registration (minimum size of 10 participants), please contact the Official Registration Agency (MCI France) at iof-ecceo2012@mci-group.com . Early-Registration rate and Pre-Registration fee are applied for payment made by respectively December 10 or March 7 (with copy of the official bank transfer document).

Accompanying Person

A badge for one accompanying person per registered participant may be requested at no additional charge. This badge includes admission to the Welcome Cocktail but does not allow access to the Exhibition Area, scientific programme, satellite symposia and poster sessions.

Confirmation of Registration

Confirmation and receipt will be sent on receipt of the registration form and payment. Please present your confirmation letter at the Registration Desk in order to obtain meeting documentation and badge.

II. PAYMENTS, CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

Individual Cancellation & Refund Policies

- Registration

Notification of cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing, preferably by e-mail, to the Official Registration Agency (MCI France) at the contact details listed above. Within September 30, 2011, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded. All refunds will be made after the Congress. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after September 30, 2011.

- Hotels

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Organizing Secretariat and are subject to the following conditions:

  • - Up to December 15, 2011 : an administrative fee of 20€ will be withheld
  • - Between December 16, 2011 and January 13, 2012 : 50% of the deposit and an administration fee of 20 € will be withheld
  • - After January 13, 2012 : no refund

Payment Options

All registration fees must be paid in advance in Euros (€).

- By credit card

Payment is accepted by American Express, VISA and/or MasterCard credit cards and can be done via the secured payment tool provided while registering on-line. Please note that your credit card will be debited in Euros (€) and your monthly credit card statement will show your payment under MCI France.

- By bank transfer

The bank transfer payment has to be made in Euro (€), including all bank transfer charges to the following account.

Please indicate on your payment slip in order for your payment to be identified and traced correctly to your registration account:

Free of charge for the receiver account on all payments. Please note that this option will only be available until February 6, 2012. Then only credit card transactions are acceptable or cash payment on-site.

Remark: We regret that we are unable to accept personal cheques, Eurocheques, company cheques and banker's drafts.

- By short term loan

Short term loans give participants cash for registration fees and other costs not included in registration such as transportation, food and drink, excursions, and accommodations. Proceeds from the personal loan are sent directly to your bank account. From there, you can use the money for personal cheques, currency exchanges, or conference items.

III. BADGES

Badge wearing

All persons attending any function of the Congress are kindly requested to wear their badges during all Congress activities. Entry will not be permitted without a badge.

Individual Badge Name Change (Substitution of Registration)

An administrative fee of 65 € per badge will be charged for a badge name change after February 6, 2012. Written permission from the original participant will be required, along with full contact details of the substitution.

Lost Badge/ Forgotten Badge

In case of a lost or forgotten badge, an administrative fee of 65 € will be charged for the reprint of the badge after verification of identification (passport, driving license or other recognized identification paper).

IV. MISCELLANEOUS

Certificate of Attendance

Certificates of Attendance will be available on request at the registration desks.

Visa and Letter of Attestation

Participants are strongly advised to make sure they fulfill all legal requirements to enter France. Besides a valid passport, an entry visa may also be required. Please visit the official website of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs ( www.diplomatie.gouv.fr ) to find out whether, depending on your citizenship, country of long-term residence, and the duration and reasons for your stay, you need a visa to enter France.

It is highly recommended to start the process a minimum of 2 ½ months prior to your arrival in France. Please contact your nearest French consulate or embassy in your country of residence for further information.

Invitation letters to assist in visa formalities will be sent from MCI to people who request it in order to help you in obtaining the visa. It must be understood that such letters do not imply any financial support or hosting arrangement from IOF or ESCEO, nor a guarantee of a visa being issued. The attestation letter to assist in visa formalities will only be sent on request and only to participants who have paid their registration fees in full.

Should you wish to receive a letter, please note that your request must be registered as early as possible by filling in the appropriate fields in the on-line registration form or by sending an email iof-ecceo2012@mci-group.com before January 16, 2012 in case it has not been requested at the time of registration.

Media/Press Accreditation and Registration

IOF-ECCEO12 Congress will provide complimentary registration to qualifying applicants. In order to be granted a complimentary media badge, journalists must register on-line at as early as possible, but no later than February 20, 2012 at and provide all required valid media credentials.

Languages

English is the official Congress language. No translation is provided.

IV. LEGACY

Liability and Insurance

The Congress organizers (Bone and Joint Congresses Sprl, under the auspices of IOF and ESCEO), the Congress Venue (Palacio de Congresos de Valencia) its official appointed agencies for Registration (MCI France) and the Exhibition Organizer (YP Communication) and any suppliers, representatives or agents linked to the organization of the Congress shall not be held liable by any person for any injury, damage, theft, loss, medical problem or inconvenience which may be suffered by any person while traveling to or from, or during such person's presence in France in connection with this Congress. Participants and their guests are advised to purchase their own insurance against any such occurrences.

Cancellation or Modification of the Congress due to Force Majeure

In case of force majeure, the Congress organisers have the right to alter or cancel the Congress without prior notice, however a notice of the occurrence shall be given by BJC as soon as reasonably possible. Force majeure shall mean any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of BJC which prevents or impedes the holding of the Congress, including, but not limited to, government action, war or hostilities, riot or civil commotion, plague or other epidemic such as SARS, bird flu, etc, earthquake, flood, hurricane, cyclone, fire or other natural physical disaster, explosion, accident or breakdown, strike, lack of the usual means of transportation or terrorism or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the BJC, IOF or ESCEO . BJC, IOF and ESCEO shall not be liable for any direct or indirect, incidental or consequential damages, losses, expenditures or any other inconveniences or costs caused by such modification or cancellation of the Congress. Furthermore, registration fees will not be reimbursed by BJC, IOF and ESCEO.

Disclaimer

All reasonable endeavors will be made to hold the Congress and to present its programme as scheduled under circumstances which assure the comfort and safety of all participants and their guests. However, the BJC reserves the right to modify the programme, unilaterally and without notice.

Neither BJC, IOF or ESCEO, nor their officers, directors, employees, representatives or agents, shall be held liable by any person as a result of the cancellation of the Congress or any of the arrangements, programmes or plans connected therewith, or for any injury, damage or inconvenience which may be suffered by any person while travelling to or from, or during such person's presence in France in connection with this Congress. Participants and their guests are advised to purchase their own insurance against any such occurrences.

Any litigation stemming from the above contract will be tried in Paris, France where the french law is exclusively applicable.
